Jeff Inman

I grew up in Chardon and attended Auburn Career Center’s construction program. When I graduated, I found myself working for a pole barn building company and I quickly became the lead carpenter. I worked for this company for several years.

When I got the opportunity, I joined a framing crew and built high-end custom houses and condos in the Solon/Chagrin area for about a full decade. Every crew I ended up on, I would always become the lead carpenter.

After over a decade of framing carpentry, I joined a finish carpentry crew and spent nearly a decade sharpening my skills in finish carpentry. Out of all the skillsets in the construction industry, finishing carpentry is by far my favorite. Eventually, I outgrew the company I was working for. At this point, I had over 20 years of experience and a great reputation as “one of the best”.

I just wanted to use my skills to help other people, I wasn’t even thinking about being a business owner. I was also picky about the type of job and type of person I wanted to work for. I feel a great sense of accomplishment when a project is finished and everyone steps back and says “how did you do that”.

Through word of mouth, it didn’t take long before I was meeting with guys to look at commercial projects. One thing led to another, and I started renovating bars, restaurants, an out-of-state nightclub, and even a casino.

I started Rockstar Construction in 2014 when I took a large repair job I was referred to by a friend. It was a blessing at the time. From that project forward I started advertising. At first, we were looking at small repair jobs. As we received reviews and shared pictures of previous projects with potential customers, we felt more confident in taking on larger projects and the customers felt safer with us as their contractor.

Now we are working on additions and whole home renovations, and we are looking at new home construction projects.
